Food addiction

hi all

Just wondering if there are any of you out there who are addicted to eating (just eating in general, whether healthy (i.e. veggies, salad) or not).

I think i have a food addiction due to the following symptoms
- eating is one of my favorite pastimes/hobbies
- think about food all day
- do HIIT cardio everyday (even when trying to bulk) just so i can eat more
- try to keep as active as possible (walking everywhere) just so i can eat more

btw i am natural and not fat by any means

would appreciate any comments

I also have a food addiction and have to force myself to not eat. I wish I knew the solution to our problem other than suffering, but I don't.
 
YEah I have it...dont consider it a problem really.
 
For sure. I love food. Going out to try different foods is one of my favorite things to do. I eat out of boredom a lot of times. Works in my favor in this lifestyle but I often think about what I'll do when I'm older, less active, and not expending the energy in the gym I'm expending now.
 
I used to think food addiction and carb addiction was BS until the last 6 months or so. I have been paying attention to how I feel when I eat certain foods and when I don't have that feeling, I crave bad things. I've also realized I crave certain types of food simply for the mouth feel.
Not sure what all that means as far as doing anything about it, but yeah, I do have it.
 
Oh yea, big time. A very high carb diet is what keeps me in control. A good 700 plus when not cutting and 500 cutting. I've had some epic bone outs in my lower carb days. Meals of 7000 calories, days of 1200 plus calories all junk.

Most of the time is because your body is not happy with the amount of BF left.

As soon as I get under 10 % I start thinking about food all the time.Few months ago hit 7% , and I wasn't able to sleep.Went crazy one day and started eating, ended up gaining 45 lbs in 5 weeks.

Man, it's worse than any other addiction I have had(including smoking, which I stopped).

Over Christmas I ate so much I made myself sick. I mean real sick. . . . . I binge eat since I don't eat crap foods on the regular.

Been working on this addiction forever. . . I have def gotten better, but not past it.
 
Try eating more foods you don't enjoy and less foods you love. Basically condition yourself to stop thinking of eating as a pleasurable pastime and see it as just a necessity for energy.
 
not an addiction............just a relentless hobby, I can not quit.

just kidding............:D
 
Yes I'm addicted also.I fine that I must eat fiber foods to help keep the fulliness without gaining fat.Keeping carbs low also helps

4 to 5 cups of coffee doesnt hurt either, :headbang:

This is exactly what I do on the regular

But, when there's garbage food in front of me I don't even have a choice. The healthy usual shit gets pushed to the back & start inhaling junk

That's why year round I keep the house rid of junk food. But, during the holiday season - it's on. . . .lol
 
the more work i do the more often i get hungry. perhaps your body actually needs the energy for the work load you are doing. and it would take awhile for your body to acclimate to a lower amount of calories once your work load was decreased.
 
There are some days I cannot seem to stop eating no matter what. That is why it is important to make sure I have cleaner food to eat, if I don't , and coworkers are eating and ordering fried chicken and pizza, it is not good lol
 
Yes I agree on the coffee,it helps a bunch.
 
over this christmas ive just been popping sibutramine at low doses to counteract binge eating desires... being loaded on tren doesnt help with the sugar cravings though.. :D

been eating really clean the first 6 weeks of my bulk but had 4 days of eating absolute crap now... calories are only slightly over my goals (like a few 100 in total) but probably 50% of my daily calories were cake and desserts the last 4 days...
doesnt help that im at my familys and my mother keeps putting another dessert on the table every 10 minutes :rolleyes:

also ate like only 2 meals a day, a huge 2 hour breakfast and a huge 2 hour dinner (got my workouts in before these luckily)...

ill just cut calories by 1000 for 2-3 days when im back at my place or ill just go keto for 1-2 weeks to regain insulin sensitivity and lose some of the bloat (which luckily isnt even really there at this point) :D

by the way... if you ever try sibutramine or a comparable pharmaceutical appetite suppressant / SSRI.. you will notice that food addiction is definitely REAL
and its HORMONAL
just like some AAS/peps can make you an eating machine and completely change your eating habits (for me its tren, it makes me a sugar maniac... when im not on tren i dont even like sugary sweets, can sit infront of chocolate for hours etc no problemo. on tren its like a voice that constantly says "DEVOUR" in my head).. there are also appetite suppressants that can completely kill the compulsive desire to eat... like you get hungry but your appetite is just not there at all and you dont even think about food even after not eating for 6 hours...

its really interesting to experience this by yourself...
makes you reconsider your thoughts about obese people who claim they cant lose weight... sometimes it might really be hard without pharmaceutical help (in people with heavy leptin resistance etc)
 
Just gotta go online and read all the articles about how sugar severely shorten lifespans

I also agree about having a lot of fiber to help. 5 cups of coffee is unhealthy though.
