Doggcrapp training over convential training

"DC TRAINING" WORKS!!!

Reading comprehension, anybody?

I'm not debating results. All I'm saying is NOBODY can be so arrogant as to claim to have created a certain number of sets/reps, because everything you can imagine (and then some..) has been done long before ANY of us have been around.

With the heads up the ass thing, a lot of you are so far in there you can't even tell what the discussion is about. You're so stuck, you can only follow where his ass goes and that's why you're in this thread. Cute, but psychotic and a little obsessive.

Dantes methods used with people he trains WORKS DAMN WELL. My point is being missed and this is no longer worth my time.

Yup..

I do believe you are correct in that Yates does credit Dante. And lets face it, Dante put the time and effort into working out an effective program and bringing it to the masses. Cant wait to give this another try working directly with him soon!

i think the fact that he sifted through so many things and found this particular method of rest pause training to be effective gives him some lattitude here. i do believe it is a unique enough variation from any type of training i have ever read about(and i've read a whole lot)that he can certainly claim it as "an invention" all day long.

And this is the big problem with what I see you saying. What possible reason should someone agree or ("kiss ass" in your words) with me here to benefit themselves? I dont own this site. Half the guys commenting i dont know who they are personally...what would be their motive as grown men to "kiss my ass"? What possible benefit would they get from doing that?

So let me get this straight....

If someone agrees with my mode of thought they are a "kiss ass" right?

And if someone disagrees with my mode of thought what are they? A freaking rebel?

Wow I am in a no win situation here aren't I?

The motive, as pathetic as it is, seems to be to be a part of a clique of some sort or group. Typical fraternity behavior.

What's unfortunate is the ONLY thing I'm disagreeing with here is naming methods, that have already been "invented", as your own.

Now read this carefully, please..

Your methods of training clients in the past, or friends, or whatever, touches on a lot of GREAT fundamental principles. This continent has been trashed with bogus supplements, useless/endless training routines, and over-analyzing everything to the point of not even making progress anymore. This has been going on for a couple decades now. Your teachings to people have opened many eyes and it's really making a change for the better.

Low numbers of work sets, high intensity, high frequency of training, a proper split of muscle groups, the importance of unsaturated fats, morning cardio... the list goes on. On behalf of 90% of all "amateur" and recreational bodybuilders, I thank you.

My problem is that a lot of these principles, in fact.. every single one I can think of.. has been done many times over, a long time ago.

If anybody ever researched what different countries have done and tried for their olympic weightlifting teams in the past century or so (I don't actually know how long olympic weightlifting has been a sport) they'd quickly find out that.. shit.. maybe nothing really is a truly original idea anymore.

Why did I know this thread would turn into this ???

Probably because of the thread title inferring that it's even somewhat logical to compare what one person in this culture says vs the rest of the said culture and all it's known history.

I put on 20lbs of stage weight in exaclty one year. I didn't follow DC training to a "T" but it was pretty close. 3-Way split, rest pasue, extreme stretching, the whole 9 yards. I did tailor a few things based on how my body responded. Here's the proof.....

Good progress! So you used the 3 way split the whole year and packed on 20lbs of muscle correct? Did you go Mon, Tues, off, thur, Fri, off,off with the 3 way split?

Thanks! As I mentioned I did alter a few things. One being volume as I wanted to focus on weak body parts but overall, I worked the 3-way split training on Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun. And yes, I did this for a whole year from the day after my last show until mid way through my prep this year.

Thanks DC - means a lot coming from you! I can't take all the credit though. I've been working with Shelby for the past year or so.

I never claimed to have invented all that in bold. Ever. The only thing I am stating is I know what i did experimentation-wise with multi-rep rest pause training that wasnt based on doing singles.

Yah, awesome work bro! Great work ethic and disciple to get that done! Also you've got a solid nutrition plan too!

I had a freind that did the 3 way split and he made his best gains on it. He didn't like the 2 way because it was a much longer workout as he liked to get in and get out quick. I know DC says that you make the best gains on the 2 way but it shows that you can make just as good gains on the 3 way, I assume some may make better gains on the 3 way?

I have recently gone back to a 3 way split...(differnt than DC way)...I seem to grow the best this way, if you think about it...You give your body a better chance at growth when you hit everything twice a week or every 8 days vs. once per week...If you can recovery from hitting everything twice a week (or every 8 days) then you will grow at a much faster rate...DC does work, and the 3 way split is one of the main reason why it works...I always liked the R.P.'s but the statics usually did me in after a few weeks and I would have to drop them out...I made great progress on DC program, and over the years have tried other programs (volume, HIT, FTS-7) and never have made the progress I did with DC...But now that im trying out Phil's system I seem to be making good progress again...But maybe in the future, I might try DC again but with some changes to fit my body...
