Hi,just got a meal plan arranged by Dave Palumbo,
was wondering whom else has followed,or advocates his eating protocol,
ie high protien,med carbs,high fats?
anyone purchased his mass eating plan themselves?cheers:)

well, personally i ave talked to many pros who compete now that believe he DOES know his $h!t... they do believe and to some xtent listen to what he says. have heard all good things about him from the top ranks. and also, evan centopani who is up and coming and looks great was recently asked about his thoughts on high protein med carbs and high fat diet and he said that a lot of pros are doing that now and it is gettign real popular. and he never tried it or really heard of it until he started working with dave palumbo, now he is hooked. hope this helps

HE IS A GENOIUS. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO ASK HIM ANYTHING THAT I DID NOT KNOW.
 
i have seen the "beginner" cycles he lays out for guys, would love to see and intermediate/advanced cycle being the beginner's cycle started with a base of 1g of test plus 2 other compounds.
 
i think hes great too but i was reading in one of his articals replying to a question from somebody on how to avoid bitch tits. he said everybody is diffrent and then said he remembered the first time he took sust-250 he got bitch tits after the first shot ???? the first shot ????????. thats the only thing i was questioning about him but hell what do i know

lol yes palumbo likes to UP his doses for newbies a bit :)...but im guessing his clients are all IFBB pro wannabees and his mindset for extreme gains you have to sometimes do extreme stuff...

its a long time since i read anything by palumbo but i think the intermediate cycles youre talking about are in the 3G/week range stacked with all sorts of stuff :)...alex
 
The man knows his shit! My first show I ever did was useing a diet and cycle he layed out for me. I would def. use him again for another show. He helped my training partner as well with great results.

he has a thread at MD.com where he reccomends for people first cycle to do 400mg of deca a week and 50mg winny MWF.

on another note... this is his contest diet base:

FOR A BIG 230LBS GUY
Meal 1 6 whole Omega-3 eggs
Meal 2 8oz chicken with 1/2 cup raw almonds
Meal 3 50g whey with 2 tablespoons all natural peanutbutter
Meal 4 8oz salmon with 1 cup asparagus with 1 tablespoon macadamia nut oil
Meal 5 50 g whey with 2 tablespoon PB
Meal 6 6 whole eggs

This is typically how i start off most clients diets.........then there's modifications along the way and I have to cater it according to how hte client looks.
 
Not only is big Dave a freaking intelligent guy, he is super friendly and will answer any questions that you hit him with. His diet's advice is on point. Contest prep; excellent. My main cats Lucian and Chris250 have used him. Chris uses his dieting style for his prep.

Here is a Palumbo diet:

I will give you an example of a diet designed by Palumbo..This is an actual diet for a National Level (Chris250 can chime in here...lol) individual.

You can adjust in accordance to needs and goals:


Meal 1- 6 whole eggs (large eggs)

Meal 2- 8oz. chicken breast with 1/2 cup cashews/almonds

Meal 3- 50 gram whey isolate protein with 2 tbsp Natural PB

Meal 4- 8oz. steak (sirlon) and green salad with 1 tbsp of olive oil with vineger

Meal 5- repeat meal 2

Meal 6- repeat meal 3

Meal 7- (if staying up late) repeat meal 2 or 3

Carb up on the weekend with about 300-500 grams of carbs (usually pizza, cake, candy, ect) This was usually my last meal of the night.

Lots of EFA's, primrose oil, multi-vit/minerals, Vit C and you are in the house. Get the ideal?

Almost word for word this is the diet he started me out on...made some changes along the way but this was my base diet almost word for word.and supps. too.

Is this a cutting diet? I notice there are no carbs at all. How are your energy levels at the gym?

"energy" can be made from carbs or fat, both are good fuel sources, I have heard dave say fats are like a high ocatane jet fuel as opposed to carbs being a low grade unleaded, (something to that effect?)

toney freeman used him for this years spring shows he won, and has good things to say about his diet stragities and contest prep...

I would have loved to see Tony's diet. Dave said it was just more meals, with slightly more ratio's. He had him eating far far less than norm though, and Tony strived on that diet. I saw one of Tony's old diets, and it was like 10-12 meals, because he has such a high metabolism. I believe he eats a lot of Buffalo meat.

What was the last week prep up to showtime like? Food intake? Foods? Water? etc..As much as you can remember. Where you at Chris250? need for you to chime in dawg!

Ill have to look in my notes bro. I might have left that note book back in Pittsburgh. I j ust moved down to the DC area not to long ago and still have alot of my stuff back home. Ill look for it tonight and get back to you.
 
A buddy of mine just used him for his Nationals prep last year. He was leaner than he had ever been and said he felt great through the entire diet. He did look a bit flatter than he normaly did though, which I assume was from the extreme low carbs. But he was allowed 1 meal out of the week to eat whatever he wanted whether it be pizza or what ever. He really does know his stuff as everyone has already stated. He has 3 years of medical school behind and really seems to know how to apply it to bodybuilding.

that was my prob as well. I wasa super lean....the leanest I ever been...BUT i was so flat. Not sayin this was Daves fault tho.
 
i think also, upping the dosages almost insures you that your client will be happy with the weight gains assoc. with dave palumbo's advice
