Lately I have gone the complete opposite direction and put in ear plugs.

I can't hear a damn thing besides my own breathing and it really zones me.

Wow. That sounds like a great idea. I don't like new music so the gym "noise" kills me, and at 50 listening to the Rolling Stones for the millionth time is no fun.

PS - I never even heard of half the bands in this thread. You kids better stay off my lawn!

Funny, I just remembered my Sophomore year at college, the dorm room next to me lived a gay kid, and he played this song loud, along with I will survive and other similar songs, constantly, this was 1983. Hmmm, it never really bothered me, I actually liked all those songs. I didn't find his make-up too appealing tho. Or his interest in me being on the college wrestling team. But he was a nice guy, and I liked his music.

I wonder if he survived?
